How do I choose a Learning Partner?

There are a number of Learning Partners offering a courses leading to each of our qualifications. All Learning Partners meet minimum requirements in order to achieve and maintain accreditation with us.

We cannot make a recommendation to you and nor do we disclose examination pass rates for individual Learning Partners.

Learning Partners differ in their teaching formats, the amount of support they provide, venue type and location and hence cost. We recommend that you contact a number of partners to discuss their services so you can make a choice of which suits you best.

Special considerations must be applied for after the assessment via your Learning Partner, and within seven working days of the assessment date. This is inline with our Policy and Procedure for Access Arrangements, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration

How do I book a resit?

To book a resit you will need to do so through your Learning Partner.

 If your current course provider is unable to offer you a suitable date or you would like to change to a different course provider you will need to visit the Where to Study section of our website and select ‘Find a Course Provider’ or ‘Find an Examination’.

How can I verify a persons certificate or parchment?

If you would like to verify a persons certificate or qualification parchment, you will need to follow our Verification Policy.

What is unit validity?

The NEBOSH Diplomas have a five year enrollment period. A learners enrolment commences on the date of their first examination registration.

Upon the successful completion of the learners first assessment, the enrolment date changes to the declaration date of this unit. The successful unit is then given a unit validity. The Unit Validity is 5 years (A unit is valid for five years from the declaration, this is the date printed on the unit certificate).

NEBOSH does appreciate that there are some circumstances that prevent learners from continuing their studies for a period of time. To allow learners the opportunity to complete their qualification

NEBOSH does allow learners to apply for an extension to their unit validity period . These requests are considered on a case by case basis.

How to avoid fraudulent use of your NEBOSH certificate?

NEBOSH takes all instances of fraudulent certificates very seriously.

In cases where we are informed of a certificates and/or parchments being used fraudulently, we make every effort to identify and alert the authentic holder.

Each unit certificate and parchment has a number of anti-forgery and anti-fraud features, including a unique identifying number that enables NEBOSH to check to whom it was issued.

Most fraudulently used certificates have been made available online – for example they are posted on LinkedIn by the genuine holder. NEBOSH strongly advises against posting certificates online or making reference to any identifying numbers relating to your NEBOSH studies, such as your learner number or certificate reference number.
